More Details

If you’re longing for uninterrupted time to write, create, and breathe, within a safe setting of like-minded creative introverts, then come on down to Baja. Let me offer my home and skills for just that experience.

This retreat is set in Mulegé, Baja California Sur and offers a calm break for you —It’s a sweet spot for sure.

Set along the Río Mulegé and close to the Sea of Cortez, come here if you’re working on a specific writing project, exploring painting for the first time, or simply craving creative play, you’ll find both structure and freedom here. We will be mostly at Casa Azul, my place, with its beautiful garden offering a covered outdoor living area for us to write, paint, stretch, drink teas and talk about all things creative. A wonderfully welcoming home and studio a block from the river and la Huerta restaurant and Don Chano’s campground. A place to walk around or even take the paddleboard up the river or just watch the tides and the birds.

Mornings are up to you and may begin with an optional yoga session or a quiet solo stroll through town, followed by coffee and dedicated creative time. You’ll have long stretches to write, paint, journal, or just hang out—at your own pace and in your own way. Afternoons include optional workshops, creative prompts, and group conversations focused on exploration, inspiration, and a bit of accountability. Evenings are for you to fill as you’d like – I’m quite the introvert so I’ll be done by the end of each afternoon and probably hide away on my own! One day in the middle of the week, I’ll get us all to the local beaches a short drive away. Take picnics and snacks and relax under a palapa and doze or explore a bit. Up to you.

You’re invited—but never required—to share you work for supportive feedback. You each get a one-hour private creative consultation with me, which can focus on writing, creative process, publishing questions, or finding direction and confidence again.

This retreat is ideal if you:

  • Feel creatively stuck or unsure what to do next
  • Crave inspiration, play, and a sense of creative community
  • Prefer a retreat that balances guidance with spacious free time
  • You enjoy walking everywhere – it’s a small village with no need for public transport
  • And you want to be around other creative folks

No experience is required— just come ready to paint, write, make collages, see live music, ponder the Big Questions of life.
