Sorry but it’s been busy this last month and I’m behind. I thought I’d just post a few quick suggestions from places I’ve been…and less of the wordy documentary of routes taken and thoughts uncovered.

On the way back from the Overland Expo (which I loved with snow and rain and shivering dogs), I took a NF road just south of Mormon Lake. It took us across the mountain ridge instead of the ups and downs of the highway south and the east to Show Low.

Easy to drive but a bit of an adrenelin rush with the huge drop off to the south of me and narrow winding roads with snow on the ground!
Incredible views and tons of dispersed camping spots. I will come back this way next year.
