We spent a couple of days at Stunner Pass, hiking and hanging out around the campfire, before taking NF 380/330 over the pass of 10,571 ft.
The rain had me worried to be honest but needlessly. The Rangers take good care of these roads and the mud had dried. The 4Runner is still loud though.

I’d been looking forward to seeing Summitville, a deserted mining town. I wasn’t impressed! I drove on through, took a wrong turn, found myself on a narrow track heading uphill, started to panic, backed up, and turned around. Much better on FR 330 after all.
We stopped instead a few miles past, just before the road headed north east again. A huge meadow beckoned. The dogs ran. I lay in the grass. Another few hours drifted by.
Stumbled onto your blog because of the name ~ who doesn’t love dirt roads and dogs!? Great photos.
